Il vulcano Etna in eruzione: Si prospetta un nuovo 2001?

L'attività eruttiva del vulcano ieri sera si è intensificata
con l'incremento del fronte lavico del versante sud.

L'attività eruttiva dell'Etna non cessa di stupire turisti e
visitatori che ormai da giorni affollano le falde del
vulcano.
Ormai gli esperti ci assicurano della non pericolosità
dell'evento eruttivo e ci esortano ad approfitare di questa
occasione unica nel suo genere.
Il materiale lavico fuoriesce da una frattura posta alla base
del cratere di Sud-Est, in prossimità dell’ ex rifugio di torre
del filosofo.
Accanto ai tre differenti fronti lavici, sul versante sud è
possibile ammirare le fontane di lava tipiche dell'attività
stromboliana del vulcano.

Attualmente l'eruzione è sotto il controllo da parte degli esperti
dell'istituto di geofisica e vulcanologia di Catania.
